Equimec Paste for Horses

Equimec Paste is a broad-spectrum worm control treatment for horses. With Ivermectin as the active ingredient, this potent paste formula is effective against varied internal parasites, including Pinworms, Hairworms, roundworms, large mouth stomach worms, neck threadworms, intestinal threadworms, and Lungworms. Plus, it effectively controls the arterial larval stages of Strongyles vulgaris and benzimidazole-resistant small strongyles.

This low-dose formula also controls skin lesions caused by Habronema and summer sores. Suitable for all horses, the paste comes with a convenient trigger applicator that ensures easy and precise dosing.

How it Works?

Equimec Paste is powered by Ivermectin, which effectively protects against a broad range of internal parasites. The active ingredient disrupts the nerve and muscle functions of parasites and eliminates them by causing paralysis and eventual death.

How to Use
Directions

  • Give the Equimec Paste orally
  • Make sure that there’s no feed in the horse’s mouth before administration
  • Make a 1/4 turn to unlock the knurled ring
  • Adjust the side closest to the barrel by sliding the knurled ring up the plunger shaft to a proper weight marking.
  • Insert the syringe into the side of the horse’s mouth, in the gap between the front and the back teeth
  • Dispose of the treatment on the rear end of the tongue by advancing the plunger as far as it can go
  • After administering, keep the horse’s head raised for a few seconds to ensure that the complete dose is swallowed

Dosage:

  • Give Equimec at the recommended dose level of 200μg ivermectin/kg weight.
  • The contents of one syringe treat one horse of 1320 lbs (600kg) weight.
  • Each weight marking at the syringe plunger delivers 1.07 g of paste which is enough to treat 220 lbs(100kg) weight.

Safety
Safety

  • Formulated for use in horses only
  • Avoid contact with the eyes, skin, and clothing
  • Do not administer to horses less than 21 days before slaughter for human consumption
  • Do not give it to any other animals intended for human consumption
  • Can be given to mares at any stage of pregnancy
  • Stallions may be treated without adversely affecting their fertility
  • Store it far from the reach of kids and pets
  • Poisonous if swallowed. Promptly contact a doctor in case of poisoning
  • Properly dispose of the syringe by wrapping it in paper and putting it in the garbage
