What is Cazitel?
Cazitel is a multi-spectrum, flavored allwormer tablet for the control of 12 species of intestinal worms in puppies and adult dogs encompassing ROUNDWORMS - Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina WHIPWORMS - Trichuris vulpis HOOKWORMS - Ancylostoma caninum, A. braziliense, Ancylostoma ceylanicum, Uncinaria stenocephala TAPEWORMS - Dipylidium caninum,Taenia ovis,T. pisiformis, T. hydatigena and Echinococcus granulosus (hydatid tapeworm). It also has the ability to control the shedding of giardia oocysts.
How It Works?
Cazitel is made up of Praziquantel, Febantel and Pyrantel Embonate. Praziquantel is an anthelmintic which treats tapeworms and flukes in dogs. It causes muscle spasm in tapeworm which are then attacked by enzymes and disintegrates. It kills all intestinal forms of tapeworm except Spirometra spp, which require a higher than standard dose rate. Febantel is also an anthelmintic which destroys roundworms from the body of dogs. Pyrantel Embonate is used as a deworming agent in the treatment of hookworms and roundworms in dogs. It acts as a depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent, thereby causing sudden contraction, followed by paralysis of the worm. This has the result of causing the worm to "lose its grip" on the intestinal wall and be passed out of the system by natural process. The combination of these three ingredients leads to total deworming of puppies and dogs.
